The Cape Winelands District Municipality is hosting the second Annual Farm Workers Open Day at Kleinplasie in Worcester on Saturday 18th June 2011. • A civil rights education programme for 150 farm workers and the organisation of farm worker forums in each local municipality
  • Legal support for farm workers threatened with eviction
  • The establishment of farm worker health committees and the establishment of local NPOs Open Day celebrates the important contribution which farm workers make to the economy in the Cape Winelands.

Phuhlisani a land and rural development service provider is organising the event in association with the CWDM. A festival atmosphere will be created with a combination of indoor and outdoor sports, live music, display tables and discussion panels.
